Some of the things I have listed on Ebid are starting to sell now.

I've sold a couple of records, a couple of camera lenses, a camera case.

I've also started buying on Ebid rather than look at Ebay. And THAT is more important.

5 FREE pictures when you list on Ebid

You know what they say about a picture being worth a thousand words? - Well, Ebid are letting you write a veritable novel when you list there now!!!

Yep - You can list your item for free (As per the usual terms, depending on what level of selling you have.) and you get to post up 5 pictures free of charge. This will allow you to really show off your goods, without having to risk not selling that special item and end up paying out for a load of pictures as you would on another well known site.

SO Now, I have to go through the items I have listed and take some really sweet and lovely images to tempt you all in!!!!!

GAMES A PLENTY ON EBID AND EBAY Nintendo DS

I have a few games up for sale at the moment for the Nintendo DS . I have a handful of copies of the incredible Dr Layton's Curios Village. at Ebay I have 1 on set sale and 1 up for auction. on Ebid I just have 1 set sale in TOY PALLOI.

(I was tempted to put my own copy up for sale as well - having got a long way through it, only for my son to save OVER my file at the very start of his game.... GRRRRRRRR - I have however decided to start all over again.)

I had a similar situation with Heinz Wolffs GRAVITY - which I also have for sale on both venues.

I currently have 4 stores open on EBID

OUT ON THE FLOOR -which is to sell records.

TOY PALLOI- which is to sell toys, traditional games and electronic console games.

THE PAPERBOYS PLEASURE- which is to sell books and magazines.

RANDOMONIUM- which is to sell STUFF. Yep - stuff, all sorts of stuff. Only a couple of bits of stuff in there at the moment, but I hope to fill it with lots more stuff in due course !

Then of course there is my Ebay profile. CrazyJay on Ebay

The PAPERBOYS PLEASURE Could be YOUR pleasure

I have listed quite a few books in The Paperboys Pleasure. A couple of fantasy novels, a handful of cookery books, and I have at last dug out a few of my old motorcycle magazines for anybody that might be interested.

I have a few PULP fiction novels up for sale in there as well. On Ebay, I am just listing one Robin Hobb book. (If you are collecting the Farseer Trilogy, this is a really cheap copy of #2, but you'll need to check out my Ebid Store for #3. If you buy both, then I will offer free postage on the one on Ebid!!!)

Going RECORD crazy!

OK - OK. I know it. I'm already record crazy - It's what gets me into so much trouble. But you are going to love me for this one.

I'm currently listing records on both Ebid and Ebay. Some duplicates are on both sites, some are listed on one or the other. There are cheap and cheerful repros and originals, through to a few slightly higher priced numbers - But I think you will find that the prices are pretty agreable on all of them.

My Ebay prices are probably a bit higher than my Ebid prices - To cover the high cost of listing and commision, but some folks prefer the percieved security, so I'm happy to have customers on either site.

At the end of the day - I'm the same guy, selling the same records, and offering the same great service.

CURRENTLY FOR SALE

Well - Perhaps I've been a little harsh about shifting ALL my sales to Ebid.

I think it fair to say, both sites are extremely useful tools for buying and selling. Granted my prices on Ebay are in general much higher, but if folks are happier with the service, and the safety that's fine by me. I will happily list on both sites, unti it become unviable to do so.

Please feel free to click on any of my stores or auction linsk to compare prices.

The service you recieve will be the same regardless of which you choose.

I'm moving most of my sales to EBID

For quite some time I've been a regular seller on THE very well known auction site. Over that time they have introduced more and more draconian rules, which make it less and less viable to sell through them. The prices they charge are going through the roof, and of course that means that the prices sellers have to charge also increase to cover it. Now they are introducing an enforced FREE postage on some items - Who is that good for? - Not the seller, they still have to pay for postage. Not the buyer, as the price of the item will have to increase to cover it. ONLY the auction site will gain, as they will now claim commission on the whole price, not just the actual sale price!

So I am now selling on Ebid, where commission charges are low, and you don't even pay at all if the item doesn't sell! The feedback system still works and is better than the other site ever was. The only problem is, there are fewer bidders / buyers at the moment - (Which is actually good from a buyers perspective, as prices tend to stay at the lower end.)

I currently have 2 stores open:

OUT ON THE FLOOR -which is to sell records.

TOY PALLOI- which is to sell toys, traditional games and electronic console games.

I also have a couple of other stores in the making to sell books and magazines with one more for random junk and collectibles.

As there are still more customers on the other site I will continue to list there, and pay their extortionate rates - or rather those who choose to buy items I list there will be paying their charges - The option to buy the same item from my EBID store will be there though!
